AM TRANSLATION & EDITING

I am a native speaker of British English and a qualified French-to-English translator. I have been translating freelance since 1996 and specialise in legal and business documentation, as well as website translation and localisation.

I also provide the following services:
• copy-editing documents drafted in English;
• proofreading documents which have been translated into English from French;
• transcription of audio recordings, rendering them as word-processed documents.

Qualifications:
Diploma in French and English Translation (including Interpreting), British Institute in Paris (2002)
BA (Hons) in Modern Languages (French; Spanish; Linguistics), University of Durham (1998)

Background:
In February 2013 I returned to live in the UK, having spent 9 years living in Luxembourg. Prior to that I lived in France for 5 years. I worked for 10 years as a legal assistant in these countries and also taught English as a foreign language.

I am dedicated to continued learning and regularly attend courses and online webinars to ensure that my skills and knowledge are up-to-date.

I am a member of the ITI and of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.
