As a translator, I strive to produce highly readable translations for a variety of audiences. I offer time flexibility including weekend work as a freelancer, as well as a reliable and friendly approach. Additional services include proofreading, editing, transcription and voice-over translation.

A native speaker of Japanese, I spent 14 years in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, studying at university and later working in education. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Melbourne, for which I focused on creative writing and media studies. I also obtained a teaching diploma from the same university. In 2010, I re-located to Berlin.

My specialties include Video Games, IT, Fashion, Business, Advertising and Marketing, Education, Journalism and Media, and Tourism. I believe that my background and interests have enabled me not only to provide high-quality translations, but also to be sensitive to cross-cultural issues and differences. I very much enjoy the research aspect of my work, and always aim to produce Japanese texts that both read naturally and at the same time convey the message as accurately as possible.
