Source text - English Environment
Socioconsult highlights the environment as an area of continuing importance to people right across Europe. This refers not just to the physical environment, and the destruction of rainforests etc., but also such issues as heritage, and also personal well-being.
So how is tourism regarded in terms of its environmental credentials? A 1995 MORI survey found that only 15% of the public believe that it causes either a major amount or a fair amount of environmental damage. This puts it well below the level of most other sectors such as chemicals and road transport.
However, tourism is also seen to be doing less than nearly all other industries to reduce any harmful effects which its activities might have on the environment. The continuing growth in the numbers of tourists would appear to imply that for most people, not only is tourism not seen as a particularly harmful industry (after all, most tourists never get the chance to see a beautiful fishing village before it gets swamped with high rise concrete hotels), but it is also an industry where little improvement is needed.
Translation - Russian

Hello everyone
My name is Anastasiia, and I want to use my good knowledge of languages by starting a career of translator or interptreter. I dont have an education in this field but Im sure that my life experience of travelling and working abroad is more important and useful.
I want to tell alittle bit about how I've started to learn languages.
I'm Ukrainian. That's why I have two native languages Ukrainian and Russian. One year ago I went to study in Poland and this is how I became fluent in Polish. After all I was encouraged to create this profile by my boyfriend who is living with me now in Poland and who is English, and that is how I became fluent in English!
I think this is very important because I ask him to check every word I've translated or explaine me in other words when I'm not sure about the meaning of the text (my fluency still doesnt make English my native language)
I've already have an experience in translations. Among my clients mostly were my professors from universities but also friends and frieds of my friends (so in fact random people for me).
I have done translation / proofreading work related to various topics:
humanities, technical writing, fine arts, electronics, gaming, history, movie subtitles, marketing, user's guides, GUI strings, websites, surveys, online tests, healgh (general), magazine articles, newsletters, reports, music, interviews, descriptions of products, sports, contracts & agreements, letters, food & wine industry, press releases, etc.
In my view, there are several key elements to fruitful collaboration:
-Provide accurate translations with the use of experience, research and tools
-Maintain clear and reactive communication in all stages of work
-Being flexible on rates, to accomodate clients' requirements
-ALWAYS deliver the work on time!
I truly enjoy working as a translator and as well as the challenge of communicating the exact same meaning to an audience with a different language and culture.
I am flexible on rates and always come to a suitable agreement with my clients. I provide very fast turnabout, while always maintaining work of the highest quality.
Do not hesitate to contact me for any project you may need help with.
Looking forward to collaborating with you!
