I performed my PhD research project in Biochemistry at the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology II of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. I studied the role of p38alpha MAPK in the development of murine heart. After that, I joined Ana Clara Carrera´s group at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología, where I researched into the importance of PI3K in several aspects of human cancer. The main objective consisted in finding antitumoral therapies by using PI3K as the target molecules.
Moreover, I carried out three stays at research institutions with worldwide prestige: EMBL (Heidelberg ) in 2003, Howard Hughes Medical Institute- Harvard (Boston) in 2007 and Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas (CNIO) (Madrid) in 2009.
I currently work as a medical translator (English-Spanish). I have extensive experience translating, among others, clinical trial protocols and related documents, official submissions, approvals dossiers, reports, drugs monographs, adverse event reports, case studies and scientific publications. I use properly the specified terminology used in the drafting of package insert and product labeling information, with knowledge in templates QRD, Guidelines on labeling and EU's pharmaceutical legislation. |
