Bio
I have been living and working in China for about seven years. My translation experience extends to many different fields, including manufacturing, marketing, public relations, journalism, and career services. As I studied literature at university, I also have a strong interest in literature and literary translation.

During my time in China, I have embarked on several business ventures. In addition to the obligatory time teaching, I have supported an events company, started a bilingual magazine, and managed a jazz bar. These experiences plunged me into the world of Chinese business and culture and gave me insights that simply can't be gained without being on the ground here. Context is crucial in translation and I bring all of my insight and experience to my work.

Before traveling to China, I spent many years as a researcher, writer, and editor for a company that did consulting work in both the public and private sectors. Clients included various government entities such as the Department of Homeland Security and the Executive Office of the President. Private sector clients included FedEx and business organizations like the Business Roundtable. This work allowed me to practice my writing, editing and proofreading skills at a high level, so I can guarantee quality work and an ability to work to strict deadlines.
