فى إطار جهوده للمساهمة فى تنمية المجتمع وتحقيق الشمول المالى، يوقع اليوم بنك الإسكندرية مذكرة تفاهم مع المجلس القومى للمرأة لإطلاق مبادرة مشتركة لتمكين المرأة ومحو أميتها ودمجها فى مبادرات الشمول المالى بما يعزز قدراتها المالية ويتماشى مع أهداف استراتيجية مصر القومية 2030.
يهدف البروتوكول إلى إتخاذ خطوات ملموسة نحو تحسين أوضاع المرأة المصرية التي تمارس الأعمال التجارية، وتعزيز القدرة التنافسية والإنتاجية للمؤسسات الصغيرة والمتناهية الصغر، وضمان التمكين الاقتصادي للمرأة في المناطق الريفية.
ولتحقيق المزيد من الشمول المالى يدرس "بنك الإسكندرية" ـ فى إطار المبادرة ـ إمكانية إطلاق حزمة للخدمات المالية وغير المالية المناسبة للمرأة مثل قروض يتم تسليمها بالمنزل، وقروض لأعمال المرأة، وحسابات التوفير للأطفال والبنك المدرسي، وقرض للدراسة للمرحلة الجامعية والدراسات العليا للطالبات، بجانب دراسة وإطلاق سلسلة من المنتجات والحسابات الخاصة التي تتميز بخصائص ميسرة وإجراءات فتح مبسطة لتكون جاذبة بصورة أكثر للأقل تعليماً والأميين، خاصة وأن الامية تنتشر بشكل خاص بين مجتمعات النساء اللاتي يعشن في المناطق الريفية.

The Protocol aims at taking concrete steps towards improving the conditions of Egyptian women who are conducting business, enhancing the competitiveness and productivity of small and microenterprises (SMEs) and ensuring the economic empowerment of women in rural areas.
In order to achieve a greater financial inclusion, ALEXBANK is examining the possibility, under the initiative, of launching a package of financial and non-financial services that are suitable for women, such as loans that are delivered to homes, loans for women's business, savings accounts for children, school bank, study loan for undergraduate and postgraduate studies for female students, alongside the study and launch of a series of products and special accounts that have concessional characteristics and simplified opening procedures to be more attractive to the less educated and illiterate people, especially as illiteracy is particularly prevalent among the communities of women who are living in rural areas.

Source text - English BALTIMORE, MD – Charles Wiener, M.D., professor of medicine and physiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, has been named to a two-year term as the president of Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI), the division of Johns Hopkins Medicine that develops high-impact international health care collaborations and provides medical concierge services for patients who travel from other regions to receive care at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Wiener previously held the role of JHI’s vice president of academic affairs and vice president of Asia operations, leading multiple global projects at JHI, including strategic planning, oversight of educational infrastructure planning and medical training. He is a highly respected leader, clinician and award-winning educator.
His impressive 27-year tenure with Johns Hopkins Medicine includes serving as chair of the committee that created the school of medicine’s “Genes to Society” curriculum, and as director emeritus of the Osler Internal Medicine Training Program, the first U.S. medical residency program.
He will assume his new role Jan. 1, 2019, following the retirement of Pamela Paulk, who served as JHI’s president since 2015.
“I am confident Dr. Wiener will continue to lead JHI strategically and successfully toward our goal of improving health and health care on a truly global scale,” says Paul B. Rothman, M.D., dean of the medical faculty and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine. “In this role he will oversee high-impact global health care collaborations and the provision of medical concierge services for thousands of international, out-of-state and local patients with interpretation needs.”
