Again and again, we hear that love is individual and subjective, so every lover can claim to be an expert, but again and again, we also hear that love is universal, sacred, and baffling, so every lover must also be a diviner of mysteries. The total dispersion of the authority of love—which we,Gump-like, assert as a fundamental right—not only empowers our own voices but also establishes our independence and relieves us of any need to justify ourselves. The democracy of love begets its transcendence, its relativization consecrates it as truth, and each one of us emerges as its rightful hermeneut.
Translation - Croatian Posljedica toga je da se predajemo podmukloj kružnoj politici ljubavi. Iznova i iznova slušamo kako je ljubav individualna i subjektivna, pa svaki ljubavnik može tvrditi da je stručnjak, ali nanovo i nanovo čujemo također kako je ljubav univerzalna, sveta i zbunjujuća, pa tako svaki ljubavnik mora biti i onaj koji tumači tajne. Potpuna raspršenost autoriteta ljubavi – koju mi poput Forresta Gumpa uzimamo kao fundamentalno pravo – ne samo da ozakonjuje naše vlastite glasove već i utvrđuje našu neovisnost i oslobađa nas bilo kakve potrebe da se opravdavamo. Demokracija ljubavi uzrokuje njezinu transcendentalnost, njezino relativiziranje posvećuje ju kao istinu i svaki od nas proizlazi kao njezin zakoniti hermeneutičar.

Bio
Currently, I am working as advisor for education at the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts. I have a position at the Department for Education and work on translating and proofreading documentation concerning vocational education and training, business correspondence, financial and legal documents, research papers and strategic documents, as well as assisting in translating and proofreading Erasmus+ projects documentation that Chamber is currently working on.
Also, I have been working as a freelance translator since graduation. I have MA in English language and Literature and Comparative literature, so my main areas of interest are literature, theatre, film, and culture in general.
