My original academic background is in business administration, with a focus on marketing/international business. After getting my university degree (MBA-equivalent), I worked as a strategy consultant and marketing specialist for over 5 years. Subsequently, I studied journalism to pursue my passion of writing.

I'm a published writer and I've written the texts for several books (mainly travel/lifestyle, in German and English) that were published in Germany between 2007 and 2009. I've also worked for radio and TV stations. I am very text-savvy and fond of languages (German and Turkish: native speaker, English: close to native, Italian: fluent, French: intermediate).

Since 2012, I have mainly been working as a freelance translator for the Japanese online platform Gengo as well as other agencies (as translator/proofreader). My main language pair is EN>DE, and I'm rated as a top quality translator. Working with high attention to detail, I focus on marketing/business texts, legal texts (contracts, data privacy, GDPR) and technical texts.
