I was born and raised in Germany and have now been living in the UK for some years. My father is British (and also a freelance translator) and my mother is German. Consequently, I was brought up bilingually and have had a profound interest in languages from a young age.

I have been working in the industry since 2008, following graduation from Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (FB 23 Germersheim) as Diplom-Übersetzer.

I have experience in translating a variety of different texts, ranging from contracts to manuals, software-related texts and (technical) marketing.

I work with a wide range of different CAT tools and associated terminology management tools, such as memoQ, SDL Studio, Trados Workbench, Transit and Across.

I have been successfully shaping my future as a freelancer since July 2012.
