PLANO was established in 1985. It currently employs a staff of 5 people engaged in administrative tasks and project management. Apart from our permanent staff, we have established cooperation with about 50 translators and professionals, all of whom are university degree holders in Translation and other sciences. They all have extensive experience and their specialization varies from economic and legal texts to technical and EU documents.

In the past 10 years, PLANO has been working as a freelance contractor for EU institutions having signed successive contracts with the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Translation Centre of the EC.
Since 1993, we have translated:
- over 30,000 pages for the European Commission
- over 50,000 pages for the European Parliament
- over 20,000 pages for the Translation Center of the EC
- over 3,000 pages for the European Environment Agency
Through this long-lasting co-operation, we have gained vast experience in areas such as telecommunications, IT, Transport, Environment, Medicine & Biology, Pharmaceuticals, Law, Politics, Economy & Finance, Trademarks and Patents.

At present, the translation capacity of PLANO amounts to 3,500 pages per month, of which 2,000 pages concern documents received from the institutions of the European Union.


Our experienced staff and our specialized freelance collaborators are able to carry out the most demanding tasks in terms of difficulty and time available and to serve our clients quickly, efficiently and at the highest standard possible.

Through the years, PLANO has established its own internal quality control procedures, which have contributed significantly in always producing the best result even within short deadlines.

All work is translated, reviewed and proofread by fully trained and qualified translators and linguists working into their native language and within their own particular scientific and linguistic fields.
