I am Estefania Ayllon, an English-into-Spanish freelance translator from Spain.

I coursed a Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpretation, and I am currently doing a Master’s Degree in Medical and Health Translation at one of the most recognized Spanish universities in the medical translation field.

As soon as I finished my degree, I started an internship for an estate agency from New York working on the translation of its website, including blog articles with sightseeing information from different countries. This is not the only occasion I worked as an intern, as I also had the chance to translate highly specialized texts on Behavioral Analysis from a centre specialized on Language Development.

I am up-to-date on the usage of Computer Assisted Translation tools, and I have also completed a course on SDL Trados Studio, which is considered one of the most popular translation programs nowadays. You can find a list with some MS office courses I have completed on my curriculum vitae too.

Recently, I also collaborated on the translation of the website from an international travel agency from English into Spanish, as well as for individuals demanding translations from different fields (from medical specialised texts to tourism brochures, formal letters or articles on economy.) I have gathered a lot of practical experience, as well as getting to work with a broad typology of texts and terminology.
