A recent study found that the declining sea ice was forcing polar bears to make marathon swims and likely increasing mortality among cubs. While polar bears have become the symbol of the perils of declining sea ice in the fragile Arctic environment, a number of other species could suffer from less sea ice including narwhals, ringed seals, and walruses. The industry has witnessed a robust double digit growth rate with a significant increase in premium income for both life and non- life business from N156 billion to N186 billion in 2009. Assets of insurance companies also grew by 26%.
The Nigerian capital market continued to react to the global financial crisis as the fluctuations in the values of the all shares price index and the stock value of quoted companies continued on a downward trend. This weak performance of the capital market has made insurance companies to invest in other assets classes other than quoted equities.

I am a French native translator with 5 years of experience. I mainly translate from English into French, but also from French into English.
I Graduated from the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI) in 2007 with a Master's degree in translation. I hold a Postgraduate diploma (Matrise) in English, and a Bachelor's degree in English & French(Bilingual Studies).
I also have some knowledge of German which I took as minor during my last 4 years of high school education and i do occasionally translate letters, applications and general subject articles from German into French.
My areas of specialisation include : environment and ecology, insurance, legal contacts and agreements, education (manuals, course syllabuses, school curricula), marketing (surveys; E-marketing).
Other areas where I have some experience include: Business, millitary (border security), energy (renewable energy technologies), and household appliances,.
