Serbian to English: A city full of surprises General field: Other Detailed field: Tourism & Travel
Translation - English Right next to the Park of Friendship there is a big grass plateau, with the surface that exceeds 10 hectares. Different events are organized here – music concerts or festivals like Belgrade Beer Festival, which is attended by thousands of people from Serbia and the neighbouring countries every year. Some world-renowned musicians have performed here, like Madonna, Sting, The Rollingstones...
The restaurant is located close to Kalemegdan, but it is tucked in and hidden from the city bustle. Here you can find peace in a relaxed, domestic atmosphere. The tradition of old Serbian kafanas is being nurtured, shown by the interior itself, which is characterized by a low ceiling, wooden floor, old-fashioned tables and chairs, needlepoints on the walls…
The food is a reflection of home atmosphere that this place exudes. Needless to say, the food is exceptionally good here. The cuisine is in most part traditionally Serbian, offering everything from barbecue and pork knuckle to “gravce na tavce” and peppers in sour cream.

I currently reside in Belgrade, but have lived in Toronto, On, where I took numerous Interpreting courses, upon completing General Linguistics at the Belgrade University.
While getting precious experience in interpreting, mostly in social services environment, I enrolled into TESL programme at George Brown City College, and graduated in 2006. Teaching is something I do part time.
I started doing translations while I was still at the University, and have continued to do so.
