Experience
Years of experience: 15. Registered at ProZ.com: Nov 2011.
My name is Manuel Egea, and I am a 35-year-old translator & interpreter of English from Murcia (Spain). I studied a BA in T&I at University of Alicante, and graduated in 1999; I got my certificate as a Sworn Translator from the Spanish State Department in 2000. I am a curious person, and that is why I have been been studying and working in different fields for the past 10 years.
In this respect, I received my BA in Journalism in 2002, and I have worked as a Press Chief, and as a reporter for different media, both in Spain and in the USA. On the other hand, I received a MA in Spanish (with concentration in Spanish Peninsular Literature) from Arizona State University in 2007, and worked as a Spanish Language Instructor for almost four years (at ASU, George Washington University, and 'The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies' -Johns Hopkins University-). With regard to translation, I worked as a translator for General Dynanics Information Technology for about a year (2009-10), althogh I have been translating on a regular basis since I finished my studies, especially legal documents and journalistic articles.
