I have worked as a secretary in different kinds of companies for 25 years, the last 15 years as a legal secretary so I have a solid experience of
secretarial work. I am greatly interested in languages and translations have been part of my work in almost all the jobs I've had and I am planning to
devote myself full time to translation work. I have studied English for a year at the University of Stockholm and have worked as a legal secretary in
New Zealand (2 years) and London (18 months) so I have very good knowledge of English and translating texts both to and from English.
I have also done translations from French in several of the jobs I've had, including legal texts.
I have no family so working evenings, nights or weekends would be no problem if there should be a rush job.
I am 43 years old and have a lot of experience of secretarial work and I have worked abroad. I recently moved back to my home town and I am
now looking for work that I can do from home. Since languages is my greatest interest (for the past two years I've spent most of my free time
learning Mandarin Chinese and I intend to continue my studies of that language and I would also like to resume my studies of Spanish) it
would be perfect for me to do translation work.
I have worked in different kinds of companies, private industry (Union
Carbide), state institution (the Institution for Computers and Applied
Mathematics) as well as 15 years as a legal secretary. |
