Besides being a language enthusiast and punctual expert in my target language...

I am a TRANSLATOR with experience of 10+ years of experience.

I'm also BOOK EDITOR working with major Czech book publishing house. My field of work besides proofreading for grammar errors is also fact checking and style editing. I work both on fiction and non-fiction pieces and both on original Czech texts and translations.

And what I am too is language TUTOR of Czech as secondary language with stable client base and 10 years of experience.

My expertise in translation is IT, marketing, web content and games coming from my full-time translating work, outdoor, sports, hiking, climbing, nature, tourism stemming from my personal hobbies and lifestyle; also pharmacy, social work, charity, mental disabilities, nursing etc.coming from my earlier profession as a charity worker. My fourth field of expertise could be defined by sociology, politics, history, cultural and legal texts where I am terminologically strongly equipped thanks to my earlier studies.

I can handle any general or basic technical work.

I have proven knowledge of CAT tools (working daily with Memsource, GTT, MateCat having some experience with TRADOS, SDLX, MemoQ, Wordfast, OmegaT), both desktop and cloud, and I'm familiar with the standard industry features like glossaries, translation memories, etc.

I am university educated in Social Sciences (MA in International Relations) and personally interested in human cultures and societies. I have rich terminological knowledge in EU matters, politics, sociology, history and others.

I have translation experience in Business, Market surveys, Subtitles, Science, Telecommunications, Legal, Human Rights, IT, General, Pharmacy, Outdoor, Sports, Journalism.

I also have solid writing skills. I like writing and I like my native language. I have working experience as a writer both in Czech and English. I also possess basic and certified coding skills (Python).
