I am a native English speaker from Ogden, Utah in the United States. I have completed all graduation requirements for a bachelor's degree in Brigham Young University. I also spent two years living in Japan as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and was able to become proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Japanese through the experience.
My undergraduate experience at BYU included lessons on the linguistics of Japanese, as well as Japanese to English translation taught by renowned professors.
I have spent four years also studying the Korean language, partly through taking university classes and partly through self-study. As a sales support representative at Nuskin Enterprises, I provided telephone customer service in both Japanese and Korean. I feel passionate about furthering my proficiency in the Japanese and Korean languages, and am comfortable translating both into English.
I am currently completing the necessary coursework for a second bachelor's degree in geology.
The major coursework has given me the type of scientific background critical for translation of documents relating to chemistry, mineralogy, petrology, and economic geology.
