Source text - English Process modeling and simulation are used at all stages in the life of a mineral processing plant: from process development to site rehabilitation, including pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, engineering design, plant commissioning, plant operation and upgrading right through to decommissioning. From the beginning, the simulation-based approach describes the behavior and performance of the future plant. This description will be more and more precise owing to the capitalization of knowledge acquired through laboratory tests, pilot plant campaigns and plant operation. There is a continuous exchange between reality and the virtual plant constituted by its steady-state simulator.
A simulator combines the following elements (see Figure 1):
A flowsheet that describes the process in terms of successive unit operations and material streams. This flowsheet encapsulates the experience of the engineers responsible for the plant design or optimization. It can reflect various scenarios so they can be compared against given criteria. It takes into account numerous plant features such as reagents distribution, water recycling or waste treatment.
A phase model that describes the materials handled by the plant (raw material, products, reagents, water, wastes) so that unit operations and plant performance, products and reagents quality (grades and undesirable element level), waste characterization (e.g. long-term behavior) for environmental impact can be evaluated. The phase description is critical for analyzing and optimizing the process. This statement reinforces the vital importance of field data and sampling protocols.
A mathematical model for each unit operation. This model formalizes the current scientific knowledge about the unit operation, and its level of complexity depends on the data available and the targeted objectives (i.e. flowsheeting, unit operation sizing, or optimization). The model parameters dimensions, settings and calibration factors are calculated or validated from field data.
A set of algorithms for data reconciliation, model calibration, unit operation sizing, full material balance calculation, power consumption and capital cost calculation. These algorithms are interfaced with a set of data representation tools. As a result, the plant simulator constitutes a highly efficient communication vector between the different actors who play a part in the plant life.
Translation - Russian Моделирование процессов используется на всех этапах работы завода по переработке полезных ископаемых: от разработки процесса до восстановления места добычи, в том числе на этапе предварительного и последующего технико-экономического исследования, проектирования, ввода завода в эксплуатацию, эксплуатации и модернизации предприятия вплоть до вывода из эксплуатации. Изначально этап моделирования позволяет определить функциональность и производительность будущего завода. Это описание становится все более и более точным благодаря накоплению знаний, полученных в результате лабораторных испытаний, экспериментов, проведенных на заводах, и рабочих процессов на заводе. Существует непрерывный обмен данными между реальностью и виртуальным заводом, созданным с помощью стационарной моделирующей установки.
Моделирующая установка сочетает в себе следующие элементы (см. рисунок 1):
Схема, описывающая процесс с точки зрения последовательных типовых процессов и потоков материала. Эта схема кратко излагает опыт инженеров, ответственных за проектирование завода или его оптимизацию. Она может отражать различные сценарии, чтобы их можно было сравнить с заданными критериями. Схема учитывает многочисленные особенности завода, такие как распределение реагентов, повторное использование воды или переработка отходов.
Фазовая модель описывает материалы, которые обрабатываются на заводе (сырье, продукты, реагенты, вода, отходы), чтобы можно было оценить типовые процессы и производительность предприятия, продукты и качество реагентов (сорта и уровень нежелательных элементов), характеристики отходов (например, долговременные свойства) с точки зрения их воздействия на окружающую среду. Описание фазы имеет решающее значение для анализа и оптимизации процесса. Это подтверждает важность данных полевых исследований и протоколов отбора проб.
Математическая модель для каждого типового процесса. Эта модель применяет современные научные знания о типовых процессах, и ее уровень сложности зависит от имеющихся данных и целевых задач (т.е. составление схемы, определение объемов типового процесса или оптимизация). Параметры модели - размеры, настройки и коэффициенты калибровки - рассчитываются и проверяются на основе данных полевых исследований.
Набор алгоритмов для согласования данных, калибровки модели, определения размера типового процесса, полного расчета материального баланса, потребления энергии и расчета затрат. Эти алгоритмы сопряжены с набором инструментов отображения данных. В результате, моделирующая установка представляет собой совершенный механизм коммуникации между различными составляющими функционирования завода.
