I have worked for ten years as an in-house translator for a company in the business of Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry.
In 2002 I took training courses which introduced me to the DCS, PLC and SCADA configuration job, and eventually I became an HMI Expert.
My role as HMI Engineer dealt with designing and configuring the Human Machine Interface, the Graphic Displays, used by operators in the plant's control rooms to manage the production process.
In the meanwhile I have never quit my beloved translation job, being in charge of writing/translating technical and project documentation from/to English or from Spanish.
My position gave me the opportunity to enrich my experience as a translator, having an inside point of view which supports me in providing reliable and high quality technical translation jobs.
