As a native
German speaker and linguist, I will provide you with translations, editing,
transcriptions and proofreading with excellent quality.

My
education in languages and translation is based on my Magister (MA) degree in
German Studies, English and American Studies (language and culture) and French Philology at the University of Potsdam (Germany) in 1999.
Since then I have been working mostly as a language and literature teacher in
Uruguay, perfectioning my Spanish both in every day life and in University language courses. Since 2009 I started also taking on translation work as a freelancer. From 2012 until
2015 I directed the language department of the Goethe-Institute in Montevideo
and after that worked in the German School as a language teacher.

As I am now focusing my work towards the field of translation, I have successfully taken part in a professional training course on general translation theory English/German offered by AKAD University Stuttgart (Germany) in 2020. My background is education, literature, arts and linguistics
but I have also been working on translations in the fields of tourism, marketing,
politics, medical and IT.

As a
teacher for literature and German as a second language I have gained
sensibility for terminology, subtle nuances of meaning and idiom. Enjoying the
search of the right term for each situation led me to explore the field of
translation.
