My name is Marta Frías Rodríguez, and I am a certified Translator and Interpreter by the University of Alicante, being my speciality English. I was also appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Sworn Translator for English. Besides, I am technician in Software Development.
This combination aroused my interest in the translation of applications, websites and videogames, since my knowledge of programming languages allows me to "touch" the source code with no danger for its integrity, which is an extra guarantee for the client. This logically doesn't mean that I don't use tools as Trados or Passolo to optimize the processes of text extracting and translation itself.
The best thing about this speciality, apart from joining my two professions, is that it lets me go on learning terminology and contents from any topic, which was one of the main reasons for me to choose these so different and, at the same time, so similar paths.
That is why I make not only computer-related works, and I search for projects in any area, specially emphasizing sworn translations, which, not belonging to any specific field, are highly demanding and rewarding.
