Izvairieties no mitra zālāja pļaušanas. Uzkrājoties mitra zāle veido pikas, kas traucē smalcināšanu. Labākais laiks zālāja pļaušanai ir agra pēcpusdiena. Šajā laikā zāle ir nožuvusi un tikko nopļautais laukums netiks pakļauts tiešai saules iedarbībai.
