I graduated from King's College, London in Law in 2000 and went on to work at Bloomberg in London in the TV department as an associate producer, writer and eventually reporter. I moved to Italy in 2002 and continued working in economic and then entertainment television as a reporter and producer and I still live in Italy today. I was always translating as part of my work as a journalist both in interviews and from written materials. I have been translating professionally since 2007. Recently I have translated books about the Muslim Brotherhood, the vogue.it website for Conde Nast, TV documentary scripts, EU funded project reports about the prison system in the Balkans and the effects of Metal Theft on the European Economy and much more.
I am also a professional voiceover artist and presenter and have worked with lots of well known brands and TV channels as a voice and a face including MTV, CNBC, Danone.
You can see my showreel here http://vimeo.com/45119703
My translating specialities are journalism, fashion and textiles, research papers, reference and non-fiction books but I can turn my hand to a variety of subjects related to the arts, economics, business, marketing and administration.
In October 2013 I became the Tutor for the University of Bologna working with students on the three year Translation degree course with English as a first or second passive language.
I look forward to working with you! |
