La Sra. Caicedo es una atractiva, y pequeña mujer con pelo carmelito y ojos carmelitos. Mide 5pies y dos pulgadas. Da la impresión de ser una cariñosa y sensitiva persona que tiene un “saludable y feliz perspectiva de la vida.”
La Sra. Caicedo le gusta cocinar, leer y montar bicicleta. El Sr. Agopian describe a su esposa como, “a la Antigua, no es apegada a lo material, paciente, y bondadosa a otros.”
El Sr. Agopian mide 5 pies y ocho pulgadas con un cuerpo de un mediano relleno o dimensión. La Sra. Caicedo lo describe a él como un “acogedor, generoso, honesto y feliz persona.” El Sr. Agopian le encanta leer, oír música, jardinería, cocinar y cuidar a las mascotas. Aparenta, ser muy preocupado y considerado con su esposa.

Su padre, Luis Enrique Caicedo, murió en 1976 teniendo la edad de 64 años. La Sra. Caicedo recuerda a su padre y habla muy bien de él. El trabajo como abogado. Aunque, él no le interesaba los lucros financieros. El prefirió ayudar la indígena población que no podría de otra manera cubrir los gastos de representación legal. La Sra. Caicedo relata que su padre le enseño a ella y sus hermanos importante valores que el dinero no puede comprar. La madre de la Sra. Caicedo tiene ahora 73 años y vive en Colombia. Siempre ha sido una Ama de Casa y la describen como una persona fuerte y cariñosa y amorosa. La señora Lara de Caicedo levanto nueve hijos mientras que su esposo trabajaba muchas horas de la jornada diaria. Adicionalmente, la Sra. Caicedo recuerda que su madre invitaba jóvenes sin hogar a su casa y finca para las fiestas. La señora Lara de Caicedo corrientemente administra la Finca de Leche que su fallecido esposo le dejo. La Sra. Caicedo describe su niñez y adolescencia como feliz, divertida y sin padecer nada. Dijo que cuando crecía creía que no había ningún problema que su familia no podía solucionar. La Sra. Caicedo recuerda haber recibido amor sin condición de sus dos padres.
La Sra. Caicedo reporta que está muy cerca a todos sus hermanos. El más mayor de sus hermanos es Victoria Caicedo, con una edad de 58. Ella esta empleado como Administradora de Hotelería. Ella reside en Colombia. María Christina Caicedo de Vega, de edad 54, reside en Colombia con su esposo y cinco hijos. Ella es una Ama de Casa. Ivonne Caicedo, murió en 1978 debido a un accidente de Trabajo. Ella estaba trabajando como una Bióloga de la Marina cuando murió. Rodrigo Caicedo, edad de 46, reside en Colombia con su esposa y dos hijos. Él trabaja como un abogado. Claudia Marcela Segura, de edad de 36, reside en Colombia con su esposo y dos hijos. Ella trabaja como abogada. María Del Pilar Caicedo se ira a Nueva York en el cercano futuro. Sus planes son de ayudar a la Sra. El señor Agopian nació en XXX en Cairo, Egipto, donde vivió hasta la edad de once años. El señor Agopian es el único hijo de Joseph y Yolanda Agopian. Joseph Agopian murió en 1974 a la edad de 57. La causa de su muerte fue una enfermedad de degeneración muscular. El señor Agopian asegura visitar su madre varias veces al año. Según, el señor Agopian su madre respalda sus planes de adoptar.
El señor Agopian recuerda tener una niñez-adolescencia “normal.” Aunque dejo unos buenos amigos en Cairo, dice que no fue difícil adaptarse a los Estados Unidos después de irse de Cairo. Mantuvo contacto con unos amigos por un corto plazo. Pero, explica el señor Agopian que muchos de sus tíos, tías y primos también se tuvieron que irse de Egipto. El reporta que sus tíos, tías y primos están dispersados sobre todo el mundo. Y que el mantiene contacto con ellos a través del Internet. Su más memorable inicial experiencia en los Estados Unidos fue de “la falta de disciplina y respeto en las escuelas.” El señor Agopian estudio en Forest Hills High School y después curso la Universidad. En 1980, el señor Agopian logro obtener su grado en Finanzas de la Universidad de Baruch. El trabajo en varios trabajos en la Industria de Negocios, el cual le permitió eventualmente ser empleado por EXCEL MSAS. Él ha trabajado ya casi 5 años para esta compañía.
Estado Matrimonial.
La señora Caicedo inicialmente se casó con Valentine Lopez en 1973. El señor Lopez le llevaba 20 años de edad. Según, la señora Caicedo, se enamoró con su poesía, habilidades de escribir, y su manera romántica pero no de su persona o carácter. Lo describe como muy dominante y manipulador. Ella pensaba que podría haber manejado estas desavenencias, hasta que supo que el albergada o sentía mucha negatividad sobre tener hijos. El señor Lopez estaba enterado que la señora Caicedo tenía un gran deseo de tener hijos y una grande familia pero de todas maneras ignoro este afán de ella. El señor Lopez índico que nunca quería tener hijos. En 1989, el señor Lopez y la señora Caicedo se separaron. Dos años después se anuló el matrimonio por causa basada en Representación Falsa.
La señora Caicedo y el señor Agopian se conocen por más de 15 años, y durante 6 años han estado casados. Los dos describen su relación como muy cariñosa y de mutuo respaldo. Se conocieron mientras trabajaban en el Negocio de Importación y Exportación. Cuando se conocieron inicialmente sostuvieron una relación de trabajo después se culminó en matrimonio.
La señora Caicedo y el señor Agopian confrontan difíciles situaciones, con comunicación e intercambiando dialogo honesto y abierto. En 1988, el señor Agopian compro una casa en la cual la pareja corrientemente residen. La casa es de dos pisos, con estilo colonial. El primer piso de la casa consiste de la Sala, comedor, baño y cocina con acceso al Patio. En el Segundo piso de la casa hay tres cuartos y un baño. Los extra cuartos corrientemente se usan como cuartos para huéspedes y para los pájaros. La señora Caicedo planea decorar el cuarto que sobra en una manera más adaptada para un niño. Esto creara una más acogedor y confortable ambiente para el niño que adoptaran. El sótano es utilizado para almacenamiento, para lavar ropa, y para acceso al garaje de un carro. La entera casa esta ordenada, limpia, y decorada bellamente.
La casa de la señora Caicedo y el señor Agopian está localizada en Bellerose, Nueva York, aproximadamente 15 millas al este de Nueva York. Está situada en un vecindario residencial y está cerca a todos los servicios de comunidad como escuelas, librerías, hospitales, Iglesias, áreas recreacionales, y servicios sociales.
El señor Agopian trabaja como supervisor de Cobro y la señora Caicedo trabaja como una asistente de contabilidad. Sobre disciplina, la señora Caicedo y el señor Agopian dicen que no creen en castigo corporal o físico. Declaran que implementaran “time outs” tiempos de pausa después de inapropiado comportamiento. La señora Caicedo y el señor Agopian están enterados de los varios procedimientos y procesos que se requiere para llevar a cabo una Adopción internacional y se dan cuenta que podrían surgir dificultades inesperadas lo mismo que demoras y gastos asociados con este proceso. Ellos asumirán total responsabilidad por las necesidades médicas y financieras de su hijo después de terminar el proceso. Reconocen que la posibilidad existe que su hijo desarrolle una condición médica no antes diagnosticada después de ser adoptado y aceptan ese riesgo. Tienen conocimiento de las leyes del Estado de Nueva York referente a la Adopción internacional, los requisitos del Servicio de Inmigración y Naturalización, y el proceso de Adopción en general. Saben que Family Focus está a su disposición para supervisión después de la Adopción.
Motivación de la Adopción:
La señora Caicedo reporta que siempre sabía que quería ser madre, tener hijos y levantar una feliz familia. Desafortunadamente, sus años biológicos de encargar hijos transcurrieron durante la duración de su primer matrimonio con un hombre que enfáticamente rehusaba tener hijos. La señora Caicedo exploro anteriormente la posibilidad de adoptar y le informaron que siendo una madre sola no la aprobarían. Ella entonces no persiguió el asunto más. Después que se casó con el señor Agopian, hablaron de Adopción. La señora Caicedo le informo al señor Agopian de toda la información que había recaudado y de como un hijo les traería tanto más riqueza, amor y sentido a sus vidas. El señor Agopian acepto proceder con la Adopción como una manera de engrandecer su familia. La señora Caicedo y el señor Agopian estan resueltos o consagrados a darle a su hijo un ambiente cariñoso y seguro. Enfatizan que son gente orientada o adaptada para una familia con un fuerte sistema de respaldo familiar.
Tipo de hijo deseado:
La señora Caicedo y el señor Agopian han indicado que quisieran adoptar un niño varón entre los dos y cinco años de Colombia. No se sienten preparados o equipados para adoptar un niño con severas limitaciones o deficiencias. Tienen un fuerte sistema de respaldo en sus trabajos, y dentro de su círculo de amistades y familiares. Gozan de un matrimonio de mutuo sostenimiento y comparten similares metas, valores, e intereses. Sienten que la perdida de los padres de ambos y otras perdidas en sus vidas les ayudara a comprender y ser sensitivo a algunos de los sentimientos de separación , de ser abandonado y privación que su hijo podría experimentar.
Su decisión de adoptar resulta de su deseo de abrirle su hogar a un niño, mientras engrandan su familia. She gives the impression of being a warm and sensitive person who has a healthy and happy perspective of life. Mrs. Caicedo likes to cook, read and ride bicycle. Mr. Agopian describes his wife as “Old fashioned, not wedded to material things, patient and kind to others.”
Mr. Agopian is 5 feet 8 inches in height with a body of medium built. Mrs. Caicedo described him as “protective, generous, honest and cheerful or happy as a person.” Mr. Agopian loves to read, listen to music, gardening, cooking and caring for the pets. He appears to worry about his wife and show her consideration.
Their references describe them as a mature couple who are realistic and dedicated persons with a caring and nurturing milieu within their household. They embrace joy and the demands of being parents. Mr. and Mrs. Caicedo appear to be persons with a strong system of support, engaging, caring and tender.

Mrs. Caicedo reports that she is very close to all her siblings. The oldest of the siblings is Victoria Caicedo, age 58. She is employed as a Hotel Administrator. She resides in Colombia. She is currently working with MASTERPIECE INTERNATIONAL as an Assistant Account, a position she has held for almost one year.
Mr. Agopian was born on XXX in Cairo, Egipto, where he lived to the age of eleven. Due to religious reasons the parents of Mr. Agopian, saw the necessity of leaving their native country to go to the United States. Mr.Agopian is the only son of Joseph and Yolanda Agopian. Joseph Agopian died in 1974 at the age of 57. The cause of death was a muscular degenerative disease or malady. His premature and abrupt death was very difficult for Mr. Agopian as he was barely entering adulthood. While living in Cairo, Joseph Agopian was employed by the American University of Cairo as a Professor of French. Mr. Agopian is very proud of the linguistic talents and skills of his father. He was fluent in four languages including Latin and Arabic. Unfortunately, after relocating to New York he only could find work as a substitute teacher within the Public Schools of New York. Mr. Agopian described his father as eccentric, very intelligent and eclectic. However, he was not very savvy in financial matters. He frequently utilized his meager savings to invest in his “dreams.” Yolanda Agopian, 80 years of age currently resides in Florida. She is retired from her position as Secretary. Mr. Agopian assures us he visits his mother several times a year. According to Mr. Agopian his wife supports his plans to adopt.
Mr. Agopian remembers his childhood and adolescence as “normal.” Though he left some good friends in Cairo, he states that it was not difficult to adapt to the USA after leaving Cairo. He maintained contact with some friends for a short time. However, he explains that many of his uncles, aunts and cousins also had to leave Egypt. He reports that his uncles, aunts and cousins are dispersed around the world and that he maintains contact with them via the Internet. His most memorable initial experience or recollection in the US was the “lack of discipline and respect within the school system.” Mr. Agopian studied at Forest Hills High School and afterwards studied at the University of Baruch where he obtained his degree in Finances. He worked in various jobs within the Business field, which permitted him to eventually be employed by EXCEL MSAS. He has currently worked almost 5 years now for this company.
Matrimonial Status:
Mrs. Caicedo initially was married to Valentine Lopez in 1973. Mr. Lopez was 20 years older than Mrs. Caicedo. According to Mrs. Caicedo, she fell in love with his poetry, writing abilities and romantic mannerisms but not with his character. She describes him as dominant and manipulative. She thought that she could manage these incompatibilities till she discovered that he was so reluctant to having children. Mr. Lopez was apprised of the fact that Mrs. Caicedo had a great desire to have children and a large family but nevertheless he ignored this concern and aspiration of hers. Mr. Lopez indicated that he never wanted to have children. In 1989, Mr.Lopez and
Mrs.Caicedo were separated. Two years afterward they annulled their marriage based on the reason of False Representation.
Mrs. Caicedo and Mr. Agopian have known each other for more than 15 years and for 6 years have been married. Both describe their relation as very warm and mutually supportive. They met while working together in the Importing and Exporting business. Initially, when they met they maintained a professional relation and in time this culminated in marriage. .
Mrs. Caicedo and Mr. Agopian confront difficult situations by communicating and exchanging honest and open dialog. Mrs. Caicedo revealed that at times she worries about a given situation and Mr. Agopian encourages and supports her in an attempt to soften her journey. He declares that he is very impressed by the religious devoutness and internal fortitude of Mrs. Caicedo. He also, notes that his wife is a positive thinker of an optimistic and expressive nature. The couple declare that they are able to work together as a team and foresee their union helping them raise their future adopted son so that he can contribute to society.
Household and Community:
In 1988, Mr. Agopian purchased a house in which the couple currently resides. The house is of two floors, of a colonial style. The first floor consists of a living room, dining room, bath and kitchen with access to the Patio. On the second floor there are three rooms and a bathroom. The extra rooms are currently used for entertaining guests and for housing the parrots. Mrs. Caicedo plans to decorate the extra room in a manner more suited for a child. This will create a more comfortable and inviting environment for the son that they will adopt. The basement is utilized for storing, to wash clothes and for access to the one car garage. The entire house is orderly, clean and beautifully decorated.
The house of Mrs.Caicedo and Mr. Agopian is located in Bellerose, New York, approximately 15 miles east of New York City. It is situated in a residential neighborhood and is close to all the community services such as schools, libraries, hospitals, churches, recreational areas and social services.
Mr. Agopian works as a billing Supervisor and Mrs. Caicedo works as an Accounting assistant. Their annual gross income is of approximately XXX dollars. Also, they have XXX in a savings account and XXX distributed in various investments. Also, XXX is allocated for a retirement plan (401K Plan). Mrs. Caicedo plans to take full advantage of family leave so that she can remain at home during the first three months after the arrival of the adopted child. Mr. and Mrs. Agopian – Caicedo wish to adopt a child of school age so that long term care will not be necessary. Due to their current schedule care of the child will only be required for a few hours a day. Mrs. Caicedo hopes to identify and find a Daycare or after school center. The family also maintains a list of several neighbors and friends who could take care of their child should an emergency arise at a moment’s notice including in the middle of the night.

Mrs. Caicedo and Mr. Agopian have identified Claudia Marcela Caicedo De Segura of 35 years of age and Jaime Daniel Segura Meza of 39 years of age, who are the sister and brother-in-law of Mrs. Caicedo as Contingency resources to take care of their son if they were not able to. Claudia Marcela Caicedo De Segura is a practicing attorney and Jaime Daniel Segura Meza is a District Attorney for the government. The couple reside with their two sons of 5 and 2 years of age in Colombia. Their address is XXX Their telephone number is XXX. Thoughts about raising the child and matters related to the adoption.
In relation to discipline both Mr. and Mrs. Agopian - Caicedo indicate that they do not believe in corporal or physical punishment. They declare that they would implement time outs of pausing after inappropriate behavior. As their son grows up they would eliminate privileges such as television and games as a form of discipline. They wish to confer to their son a cogent sense of security and comfort that facilitates his freedom of expression. They do not want their son to feel afraid when he talks with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Agopian - Caicedo feel capable of confronting and coping with the responsibility of being parents and appreciate and respect this charge. Mrs. Caicedo states that her intention is to raise her son with an open mind, devoting lots of time and energy to her son. Both parents assert that they received lots of love and unconditional support from their parents. They plan on employing similar methods of discipline with their children.
Mr. and Mrs. Agopian - Caicedo are aware of the multitude of procedures and processes that are required to consummate an international adoption and realize that unforeseen difficulties may arise as well as delays and associated expenses as part of the process. They will assume full responsibility for the medical and economic needs of their child once the process is completed. They recognize that their exists the possibility that a medical condition may surface after adopting their child that was not diagnosed prior to taking custody of the child and accept such risk. They are apprised of the laws of the state of New York in reference to international adoptions. Also, they are aware of the requirements imposed by the Immigration and Naturalization Service and finally of the Adoption process in general. They know that Family Focus is available for purposes of supervision after the Adoption takes place.
Motivation for the Adoption:
Mrs.Caicedo reports that she always knew she wanted to be a mother, have children and raise a happy family. Unfortunately, her years of fertility transpired while married to a man who adamantly and emphatically rejected having children. Mrs. Caicedo had explored the possibility of adopting previously but had been informed that being a single mother she would be rejected. She then did not pursue the matter further. After she got married to Mr. Agopian, they talked about adopting a child. Mrs. Caicedo relayed to Mr. Agopian all the information she had accumulated and explained to him how a child would bequeath them so much more richness, love and sense to their lives. Mr. Agopian accepted proceeding with the adoption as a way to enlarge their family. Mrs. Caicedo and Mr. Agopian are determined to afford their son a loving and secure environment. They emphasize that they are persons oriented and adapted to having a family with a strong sense of family support.
Type of child desired:
Mr. and Mrs. Agopian - Caicedo have indicated that they wish to adopt a child of 2 to 5 years of age who is male and from Colombia. They do not feel equipped or able to adopt a child with severe disabilities or limitations. Mr. and Mrs. Agopian - Caicedo have been married for six years , for five years they were friends and for another five years they dated. They own real property in the form of their house. Also, they appear to be stable financially and emotionally. Mr. and Mrs. Agopian - Caicedo appear to possess the emotional, physical and economic capabilities to be excellent parents and give their child a close and nurturing home. They have a strong system of support in their workplace and among their circle of friends and family members. They enjoy a mutually supportive marriage and share similar goals, values and interests. They feel that the loss of the parents of both of them will help them understand and be sensitive to some of the feelings of separation, abandonment and deprivation that their son may experience
Their decision to adopt stems from their desire to open their home to a child while enlarging their family. Mr. and Mrs. Agopian - Caicedo are enthusiastic about this Adoption and their choice of building their family. Their home environment is conducive to and convenient for raising a family. Therefore, Family Focus Adoption Services APPROVES the Adoption undertaken by Mr. and Mrs. Agopian - Caicedo for the type of child they desire.
