Source text - German This study is a non-significant risk, prospective, crossover study. Subjects scheduled for implant with a bi-ventricular pacemaker/ICD will receive an Audicor tracing prior to implant and will be evaluated for ventricular dyssynchrony using standard Tissue Doppler Imaging (TDI) measurements and techniques. Participants will also receive an Audicor tracing and TDI evaluation at 1-week and 6-weeks post implant. At 3-months each subject will be randomized to have his CRT device optimized using either TDI or Audicor. At 6-months each subject will again have his CRT device optimized with the alternate method (Audicor or TDI). At 9-months, each subject will again be evaluated and if further optimization is required, either method of optimization may be employed based upon the clinical judgment of the investigator. At each visit, participants will also complete a 6-minute walk test, QOL Questionnaire, and optional Chest X-ray and VO2 or MO2. (Should say what the abbreviations stand for.)

• Class III: marked limitation of physical activity. Comfortable at rest. Less than ordinary physical activity causes fatigue, palpitation, dyspnea, or anginal pain.
• Class IV: inability to carry on any physical activity without discomfort. Symptoms of cardiac insufficiency or of the anginal syndrome may be present even at rest. If any physical activity is undertaken, discomfort is increased.

Translation - English Bei dieser Studie handelt es sich um eine prospektive, Crossover-Studie mit geringem Risiko. An Patienten, bei denen eine Implantation mit einem biventrikulären Schrittmacher/Defibrillator geplant ist, wird vor dem Eingriff ein Audicor Tracing durchgeführt. Mit Hilfe von Messungen und Techniken anhand des TDI werden die Patienten auf ventrikuläre Dyssynchronie untersucht. Außerdem wird an den Teilnehmer ein Audicor Tracing und ein TDI postoperative nach einer und nach sechs Wochen durchgeführt. Nach drei Monaten wird jeder Teilnehmer randomisiert, um dessen CRT-Gerät mit TDI oder Audicor zu optimieren. Nach sechs Monaten erfahren alle Teilnehmer erneut ein CRT-Optimierung unter Heranziehung der jeweils anderen Methode (Audicor oder TDI). Nach neun Monaten wird jeder Patient nochmals überprüft, und sollte eine erneute Optimierung des Geräts erforderlich sein, wird die Methode gewählt, die das klinische Urteil des Prüfarztes entscheidet. I have worked both as an in-house translator (localization company, medical devices company) and a freelance translator. I have also worked as a project manager in the past in order to learn the business from different aspects. I work with very strong proofreaders who have a similar background to mine. My areas of specialty are medicine (general medical texts, medical devices), software, hardware, marketing, tourism and general texts. I love translation work because of its variety.
I hold a Master's degree in teaching from an Austrian university and a Master's degree from the Monterey Institute for International Studies. My translation career started when I moved to the United States and started to work in language schools (Century School of Languages, Berlitz) and translation/advertising companies (Magnolia Studios). I learned a lot from being on both sides of the business (translator and project manager). I am very quick to respond to my customers and good at building lasting relationships with my clientele.
