I am a native English speaker but live in a Spanish-speaking environment and feel comfortable translating into Spanish. I have an associate's degree in translation/interpretation from Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ; however, my language skills have come more from real-life experiences than the classroom since I live and work in the U.S. and Mexico. I am married to a Mexican citizen and have traveled extensively throughout Latin America. I have done a lot of work as a volunteer in both translation and interpretation in and around southern Arizona and as far away as South Dakota and Peru. Most of my translation and interpretation experience has been in the legal field but I am rather comfortable working in the commercial field. From time to time I work with federal law enforcement as a linguist and have held a government security clearance. I have also worked as a bilingual commercial driving instructor.
