2.2. Preparation of cross-linked PNIPAM and PNIPAM/AAc microgels
The microgels containing NIPAM, AAc and MBAAm cross-linker were synthesized using the classical surfactant-free emulsion polymerization procedure. 5 g NIPAM and proper amount of AAc and MBAAm were dissolved in 350 ml deionized water in a 500 ml round-bottomed flask equipped with a condenser, a nitrogen inlet, a stirrer and a thermometer. Nitrogen was bubbled into the solution, and the polymerization system was kept at 70 ◦C. After equilibrium, 0.5 g KPS was dissolved in 50 ml deionized water and added into the flask to initiate polymerization. The reaction was continued for 6 h under mild stirring. After polymerization, all prepared microgels were centrifuged at 13,000 rpm for 1 h to separate them from the medium. Then, the precipitated microgel polymers were re-dispersed in deionized water. This purification procedure was repeated three times to eliminate the unreacted monomers and free electrolytes.

In all cases, claims must be accompanied by Survey Reports of Recognized Public Surveyors agreed to by the Sellers. Should the responsibility of the subject under claim be found to rest on the part of the Sellers, the Sellers shall, within 20 days after receipt of the claim, send their reply to the Buyers together with suggestion for settlement.
2. Except in cases where the insurance is covered by the Buyers as arranged, insurance is to be covered by the Sellers with an insurance company. If insurance for additional amount and /or for other insurance terms is required by the Buyers, prior notice to this effect must reach the Sellers before shipment and is subject to the Sellers’ agreement, and the extra insurance premium shall be for the Buyers’ account.
