Es biodegradable, no contaminante, exento de metales pesados, con contenido en azufre casi nulo, por lo que su combustión prácticamente elimina la contaminación emitida a la atmósfera en forma de óxidos de nitrógeno y compuestos de azufre, cusantes de la llamada ¨Lluvia Acida¨, pudiendo llegar al 80% de reducción de CO2 frente a las producidas por gasóleos. Asimismo el BIODIESEL se puede utilizar como sustituto del gasóleo al 100% (B100) o en mezcla con este último en cualquier proporción, estando registrado como combustible o aditivo en la Agencia de Protección del Medioambiente de los EE.UU. (EPA) y en la Unión Europea, quedando regulado su uso y calidades a través de las Normas DIN, UNE y las directivas de la Comisión Europea.
Translation - Spanish BIODIESEL is a fuel for diesel combustion engines, derived from vegetable oils. It is biodegradable, clean, and free of heavy metals, with a negligible amount of sulfur. Therefore burning biodiesel practically eliminates nitrogen oxide and sulfur compounds pollution emissions into the atmosphere, which cause so-called acid rain. Biodiesel could achieve an 80% reduction in CO2 compared to petroleum-based diesel fuels. Moreover, BIODIESEL can be used as a diesel replacement at 100% (B100) or mixed with it at any proportion, as it is registered as both a fuel and fuel additive by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and in the European Union, where its use and qualities are regulated through the DIN and UNE standards, and the directives of the European Commission.
