I have been working as a freelance translator since 2008, although I translated my first text a few years earlier. I hold two Masters Degrees in linguistics: Polish Language and Literature (Poland) and Translation Studies (University of Manchester, UK). I also hold Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) - Local Government. I have a postgraduate diploma in Public Relations and completed a one year course 'Introduction to health and social care' at the Open University.

For several years I worked for a company dealing with personal debts and insolvencies. I also did several months of voluntary work for a local credit union.
