Translation - English In the shadow is a series of five videos of a static shot: an internal scene is framed through a window divided into three sections, accompanied by the soundtrack of the street outside.
At the same time, the image and sound – recorded in real time – question the placement of the spectator in terms of the framing and timing of the performance. The referent is always photography, photography that shows both space and the passage of time.
This series of photographic portraits was taken with the help of light emitted by television screens. The seven images – presented in light boxes stacked up and angled in different directions – both suggest the presence of supervisors monitoring the situation, and the isolation of the individuals. A glittering light illuminates the images and faces that seem subjected to the incandescent to and fro of the flow of time.
