Dans des études précliniques, le XXX a arrêté la croissance des cellules cancéreuses en se fixant à des protéines-récepteurs appelées Kinases de la famille Src. En phase I, 6 patientes avaient un cancer du sein traité par XXX : une patiente a présenté une rétraction de la tumeur et des ganglions lymphatiques cervicaux, supra claviculaires et axillaires après une semaine de traitement à une dose de 300mg, les 5 autres patientes, traitées à une dose de 300mg/jour, ont vu leur maladie se stabiliser pour une durée comprise entre 44 et 169 jours.
Une soixantaine de patientes participeront à cette étude. La durée de votre participation à cette étude dépendra de l’évolution de votre maladie. En participant à cette étude vous recevrez le XXX pendant un an. Toutefois, si votre maladie se stabilise (ou ne s’est pas aggravé) et si le médecin de l'étude recommande que vous poursuiviez le traitement par XXX, il vous sera possible de continuer à recevoir ce traitement au-delà des 12 premiers mois.

In phase I, 6 breast cancer patients underwent treatment with XXX: one patient showed shrinkage of their tumor and of the cervical, supraclavicular and axillary lymph nodes after a week of treatment with a 300 mg dose, the other 5 patients, treated with daily doses of 300 mg, saw their illness stabilize for a period ranging from 44 to 169 days.
About sixty patients will participate in this study. The length of your participation in this study will depend on the progression of your illness. By participating in this study you will receive XXX for a year. La méthode PCA est une technique tout à fait nouvelle pour tester les effets de divers médicaments sur les cellules humaines. Elle peut s'appliquer à la recherche pharmacologique, y compris pour l’optimisation maximale de médicaments et l’attrition des composants qui ont des effets indésirables. En utilisant en parallèle des centaines de détecteurs PCA, on peut déterminer la sélectivité cellulaire des médicaments. On peut identifier les effets pharmacologiques bénéfiques tout en signalant les effets non intentionnels ou indésirables. Ces réactions non-intentionnelles sont souvent la cause de la toxicité ou de l'inefficacité des médicaments, qui sont les principaux problèmes auquel l'industrie pharmaceutique se voit confrontée aujourd'hui.
Avec la méthode PCA, le gène qui code une protéine rapporteur est disséqué en deux ou plusieurs fragments. Translation - English The PCA method is a completely new technique for testing the effects of various drugs on human cells. It can be applied in pharmacological research, including the maximal optimization of drugs and the attrition of components causing adverse effects. By using hundreds of PCA detectors in parallel, the cellular selectivity of drugs can be determined. The beneficial pharmacological effects can be identified, while also indicating the unintended or adverse effects. These unintended reactions are often the cause of the toxicity or inefficacy of drugs which are the major problems facing the pharmaceutical industry today.
With the PCA method, the gene that codes a reporter protein is dissected into two or more fragments. The resulting inactive fragments are individually fused to the molecules of interest. The interaction of the biomolecules in question, allows the reassembly of the reporter protein fragments. One can then observe the reconstitution of the reporter protein and investigate the activity and cellular localization of the reporter. In live cells one uses fluorescence and luminescence to quantify and localize the PCA signals. The PCA method is applicable to a whole range of organisms, including bacteria, yeast, plants, mouse cells and human cells.

Vous nous avez fait, le temps d’une grande élection, oublier nos petits soucis, nos mésententes de couple, notre pouvoir d’achat à la baisse, notre compte dans le rouge. Vous avez fait souffler un vent de liesse sur nos foyers, comme sur la planète, cela ne nous était pas arrivé depuis longtemps. Plus exactement, depuis que votre prédécesseur s’est mis dans la tête de guerroyer contre « l’axe du Mal ». Grâce à vous, nous avons vécu un moment magique que nous ne voulons pas effacer si vite de nos mémoires, il sera notre « matelas des vieilles », nous comptons dessus pour les mauvais jours : un petit nuage qui obstrue l’horizon, et hop ! l’amulette Barack(a) !

Après, vous passerez aux nominations ostensibles. Et vous aurez l’obligeance, j’espère, de reconnaître qu’il y a des associations qui s’échinent depuis des lustres à vous mettre le nez sur le dossier, sans que vous fassiez grand-chose. Comme quoi, le levier de la France, ce n’est pas la validité de sa société civile, mais la validation de l’exemple étranger.

Take a breather politicians! Slow down and take in the big picture! Don't be copycats, draw up a genuine strategy and mull it over accordingly. First, reconsider absurdities like "the benefits of colonization", don't let Africans die in makeshift boats, award the Goncourt to an Afghan, OK, but rescue his compatriots who plead for exile, the dark-skinned one who must hide in the shadows because he has no papers, the second generation North African who by merely saying his name is marked for failure, the Moslem with a little chin stubble who strikes fear in your heart. Then, you proceed onto the most obvious appointments. And you'll be good enough, I hope, to recognize that there are organizations that have toiled for eons to put your shoulder to the wheel, but to little effect. -It just goes to show, France's strength is not the validity of its civil society, but its validation of foreign examples.
Maalech ! (There's nothing to it!), as the Egyptians like to say. We are not going to turn up our noses. Rather we really want to salute what is possible in the America of Obama and we gladly draw on the American "vitality savings bank", it is penny poor, perhaps, but it is full of stocks with inestimable value: those of justice and democracy.

Uno de los fenómenos de esta elección al que menos atención se le ha prestado es el probable alejamiento de Estados Unidos que resultará del creciente divorcio transatlántico. Algunos datos parecen muy evidentes: el primero es que no ha habido en la historia de Gran Bretaña un jefe de uno de los partidos principales que sea tan anti norteamericano como lo es Nick Clegg, la estrella de estos comicios. Pero no es menos cierto que nunca un líder del Partido Conservador dio tantas muestras de distanciamiento respecto de Washington como el actual candidato tory. Sólo podría comparársele con un primer ministro laborista, Harold Wilson, que tensó la relación bilateral como nadie antes que él en el siglo XX.
La pregunta, sin duda, es cuánto del escepticismo bilateral de Cameron es pura fachada y se disipará si llega al 10 de Downing Street. Y es probable que bastante. Pero el problema reside en que las razones para ese escepticismo no van a cambiar en los próximos meses. Lo que Cameron pide -evocando a Clegg- es una relación que no sea de sumisión. Y eso es lo que parece que Obama no ha querido conceder. Porque el problema bilateral es Barack Obama, y eso no lo arreglan las urnas hoy. Y eso que este presidente era el que se iba a llevar mejor con Europa, que el Reino Unido es el mejor aliado de los norteamericanos y Brown y Obama son ideológicamente afines.
Es difícil predecir qué resultado darán las urnas hoy, pero cuando el nuevo Gobierno logre afrontar las más urgentes medidas anti crisis, deberá después pensar qué hace con Washington.
Translation - English One outcome of this election that hasn't drawn much attention is the likely rift with the United States that will develop from a growing trans-Atlantic divorce. Some facts seem quite obvious: first, there has not been in the history of Great Britain a head of one of the major political parties as anti-American as Nick Clegg, the star of this comedy. What's more, never has the leader of the Conservative Party distanced himself as far from Washington as has the present Tory candidate. The nearest comparison would be Harold Wilson, who strained the bilateral relationship more than any predecessor in the 20th century.
The question, without doubt, is how much of Cameron's bilateral skepticism is pure show and will dissipate once he arrives at 10 Downing Street. It is probably mostly show. But the problem remains in so far as the reasons for this skepticism won't change in the next few months. What Cameron wants — in evoking Clegg — is a relationship that is not subservient. This is seemingly what Obama has not wanted to concede because the bilateral problem is Barack Obama, and that wasn't addressed in today's polls. Obama is the least NATO-oriented U.S. president since James Monroe in 1820. For Obama, the main political axis is not the Atlantic but the Pacific. And the United Kingdom, as such, is geographically out of the picture.
There is a protagonist these days who is the best witness to Obama's apathy toward the United Kingdom and who is the most NATO-oriented of all: Gordon Brown. Obama has "snubbed" Brown, denied him bilateral meetings, and treated him to disdainful acts of protocol. And this from a president who was going to improve relations with Europe, where the United Kingdom is the closest North American ally, and with Brown and Obama being ideologically in tune.
It is difficult to predict today's poll result, but after the new government tackles its most urgent anti-crisis measures, then it better figure out what to do about Washington.
