Nov 1 (posted viaProZ.com): Just finished transcreating and localizing some recipies. That was fun, especially since I decided to follow some of the recipes myself to double check the adaptation of measurements to the metric system. I mean, who measures 3.8 liters, right? #moresalt #moresugar #brine...more, + 3 other entries »

Welcome to my ProZ profile. My name is Tanya and I'm a web designing translator. Or a translating web desinger. Which ever way you want to see it.
My background in translation
I was born in Germany and raised in the US. My mom was German and Puerto Rican, my father was US American from Lithuania. So just like my little girl is now learning English, Czech and German and changing between languages as needed, even interpreting for me because I don't speak Czech, I grew up with two languages. But I digress.
In 2002, I took on my first translation job by chance. An IT company was looking for a native English speaker. At the time, I lived in Germany and was going back to school. I figured it would be a great side gig. 7 years later I had gained so many direct clients in translation that I quit my 9-5 and went freelance full time. I was certified by the Chamber of Commerce for translations from German into English and vice versa in 2010.
My background in web design
I fell in love with WordPress long before it was full-blown CMS (content management system). I built my own website back in 2010 and also a few websites for friends and colleagues. By 2012 I was doing it for a living, next to my translation projects.
I love to unfold my clients' visions and put them into pixel-perfect order. And I specialize in multilingual websites. Who could do those better than a translating web designer?
My professional background
If you read this far, you might ask yourself what I did until 2009. I worked for IT companies in Germany and was in charge of HR and marketing. I loved it! And I still love marketing and digitization, Industry 4.0 and retail. Those are the areas I specialize in, too, in my translation work.
I would like to invite you to check out my website: www.mrsdivi.com. And I would love it even more if you'd reach out and tell me how I can make your business my business so that your success becomes my success.
