I studied translation and interpretation from French and Japanese at the UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona), and I received the bachelor's degree in 1999, with a graduation special prize.
From March 1997 to March 1998, I studied Japanese and Japanese Culture at the Sophia University (Tokyo). During one year, I lived with a Japanese family, and I assisted tu regular courses of Japanese Calligraphy and Tea Ceremony.
In November 1999 I settled my own company, Barcelona Benri-ya, S.L., which offers language and culture services related with Japanese, such as translations, liaison interpreting, organization of customized visits or activities, etc. My main clients are companies of the automotive and electronic areas.
From October 2004 to May 2005 I studied a Legal Translation Postgraduate (French) at the UAB (Barcelona Autonomous University).
I was appointed as a sworn translator and interpreter (Japanese <> Spanish) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2006. Since then, I have been translating many certificates, contracts and other official papers, and some patents.
Foreign Languages Diplomas:
• Nihongo Nôryoku Shiken (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test), Level 1, in 2001.
• Nippon Kanji Nôryoku Shiken (Kanji Aptitude Test), levels 7, 6 and 5, between 1997 and 1999.
• First Certificate in English de la University of Cambridge in 1992.
• Diplôme Élémentarie de Langue Française (French Language Elementary Diploma), between 1988 and 1992.
