Bio

My name is Martín Chamorro, I'm an English-Spanish technical translator from Argentina (graduated from ENSLV "Spangenberg", Buenos Aires, in 2009). For several years now, instead of specializing in some translation field, I have developed a stronger focus on capacity building, professional development and motivation for colleagues, new professionals, students and the general public. I have trained over 1000 colleagues and students in the use of CAT tools and over 1500 people in other translation and motivation-related subjects. You're invited to visit my website, www.training.sr4t.com, where I offer online training on these and other topics.  More recently, I've also been doing a lot of research on the use of AI in the context of technology applied to technical translation. I'm a Board Member of the Argentine Association of Translators and Interpreters (AATI), where I have collaborated with the continuous training and technology task groups. I'm also a swimming instructor and like gardening and teaching myself several languages (some nine or ten).

Desde hace varios años, en lugar de especializarme en algún campo de la traducción, he desarrollado un mayor enfoque en la capacitación, el desarrollo profesional y la motivación de colegas, nuevos profesionales, estudiantes y público en general. He formado a más de 1000 colegas y estudiantes en el uso de herramientas TAO y a más de 1500 personas en otros temas relacionados con la traducción y la motivación.
