I am a native speaker of Swedish and have worked as a translator since 1991. Since Swedish was not offered under any T&I graduate program in the U.S. when I pursued my advanced degree, I studied French-English-French translation from 1989-1991 at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, but I currently work mostly with Swedish and English. On occasion, I translate from French, Norwegian, or Danish into English. Over the years, I have come to specialize in translation and interpretation work related to patent infringement cases within the pharmaceutical industry. I was introduced to interpretation while studying at MIIS and regularly work as a consecutive interpreter during depositions in patent disputes.
