As a native Dutch speaker, published writer in the Netherlands and Dutch language teacher my grasp of the Dutch language is outstanding. I have been working as a freelance Dutch translator for more than three years. I retain a comprehensive understanding of Dutch culture having only recently moved from the Netherlands. My command of English is at a near native level. These combined skills give me the ability to deliver high linguistic quality to any texts with specialization in the entertainment and video games industry, web sites, medical and technical texts.

Having worked as a localization project manager for software companies in the Netherlands for more than five years my duties included translating, editing and finalizing game scripts, web sites, translating and creating marketing texts, hiring translators, maintaining style guides and terminology, directing audio recordings, casting and writing test plans for large international publishers. This has provided me with in-depth knowledge of the complexity and delicacy involved in the process of localization and translation. My experience in a fast paced and highly deadline sensitive environment, and acting as bridge between multiple departments and companies, allows me to meet the high standards that clients demand for this position.

I have a masters degree in Medical Biology.
