I have lenghty experience in translating the following:
Wills, Power of Attorneys, I also prepare Power of Attorneys directly in Italian, Divorce Judgments, Non appeals, Personal documents, like birth, death, marriage certificates, Contracts, Medical documentation, Insurance, Literary Manuscripts, Culinary and Wine, Fashion, Business and general.
I am also very familiar on how to obtain the necessary documentation for dual Italian citizenship.
I am a notary public, therefore I can certify translation done by other professionals.
Because of my ability to understand most Souther Italian dialects, as an interpreter, I often receive praise for my work from attorneys when interpreting at depositions for insurances claims. Season court interpreter at trials, processes, interrogations, etc. I have hundreds of hours of experience in a court setting with judge/jury.
One of the most satisfaying moment in my profession as a translator was when I completed the translation in English of an 263 pages, Italian handwritten manuscript in ink, dated in the late 1800's by an Italian immigrant, basically it was his life story and adventures in a foreign land. I also traveled to Southern Italy, to document with photos the land and the house where the author was born, needless to say the family was overwhelmed with joy.
One of the most interesting assignments was being involved with museums both in USA and Italy for the return of famous Italian paintings taken out of Italy illegally during the war.
My fees vary depending on the complexity of the translation, length, nature, and urgency. I usually give an estimate both in cost and time when I have a good idea of what the job entails. Same for interpreting. |
