Source text - Russian Мнения экспертов, наряду с результатами изучения лучших практик преодоления овертуризма в других мегаполисах и опыта применения в Санкт-Петербурге отдельных методов регулирования туризма, легли в основу разработанных рекомендаций. Предложения можно объединить в две группы: изменение структуры турпотока и изменение градостроительной политики.
Меры по изменению структуры турпотока включают:
• развитие нишевого туризма, не подверженного влиянию сезонности: медицинского, бального, реконструкторского, промышленного туризма, кинотуризма;
• развитие туризма с высоким уровнем коллаборативности – научно-образовательного, MICE туризма, делового - влияющего через взаимодействие между туристами и отдельными группами резидентов на увеличение экономического, социального и культурного капитала дестинации;
• целевую поддержку городскими властями массовых культурных событий в «низкий» сезон;
• регулирование потоков круизных туристов;
• регулирование деятельности поисковых платформ жилья (таких, как Airbnb, Couchserfing) для преодоления сверхнагрузки на жилой фонд, вывод аренды жилья из «серой» зоны.
• расширение целевых туристских налогов и сборов, дифференцированная по сезонам ценовая политика.
Translation - English The experts’ opinions as well as results of researching best practices of overcoming overtourism in other megapolises and learning from the experience of employing a few methods of regulating tourism in St. Petersburg have served as the foundation for creating the recommendations. The proposals in question may be classified into two groups: altering the structure of the tourist flow and changing the urban planning policy.
Measures aimed at altering the structure of the tourist flow include the following ones:
• developing niche tourism that is not subject to seasonality: medical, ballroom, recreational, industrial, and cinema tourism;
• developing tourism with high collaboration levels: scientifico-educational, MICE, and business tourism, which would effect the growth of economical, social, and cultural capital of the destination through collaborations between tourists and certain groups of residents;
• a purposeful support of mass cultural events by the city authorities during “low” season;
• regulating cruise tourist flows;
• regulating the functioning of housing search platforms (for example, Airbnb and Couchserfing) in order to overcome the excessive pressure on the real estate; ensuring that housing rentals are not part of the shady economy;
• broadening the scope of purposefully collected tourist taxes and collected moneys; a seasonally-differentiated pricing policy.

interpreting between English and Russian. Being a balanced bilingual, I
translate from Russian into English and from English into Russian. Language has
always been my passion. I hold a Ph.D. in Linguistics from UMass, Amherst and a
B.S. in Communication from Boston University. I have experience in teaching
Linguistics at the university level and in teaching English as a second language.
