Hello experts, I have Trados Studio 2015 with dual licenses. I created a project and since the file was big I needed to translate it while I was away from my main PC. I decided to translate it as a single file on the second PC and before translating, I updated my TM on the second PC with this file so as to update the TM with the translation of the current file for translating the remaining segments. I created a project and since the file was big I needed to translate it while I was away from my main PC. I decided to translate it as a single file on the second PC and before translating, I updated my TM on the second PC with this file so as to update the TM with the translation of the current file for translating the remaining segments. After doing a lot of translation, I copied this sdlxliff file to a pen drive. Then after, I began working on my main PC. I simply replaced the old file with this new file in the project files of this project and tried to update the TM i) by Update the project TM, ii) By Update the Main TM (from Batck Task menu) but the TM could not be updated and as a result I could not translate the fuzzy matches with the help of segments already translated by me. I even tried to update TM clicking on each and every translated segment but in vain. Not only this, I created a blank TM and tried to transfer its contents to it so as to make TM but even it did not work. Could you please figure out the possible reason and suggest a way out? In fact, it is a very heavy TM (795 MBs) and that is why, I can't carry it with me always. Whenever I have to work on the second PC, I pre-translate the file so as to obtain the translation of fuzzy matches and then translate it on second PC and then after, I bring it to my first PC which is the main PC for updating the TM. I always use another approach - I select TM to be updated on TM page, then select Import in context menu for this TM and import sdlxliff file (with new translations) in this TM. Hope it helps. Good luck! | |

However, when I tried to import, I got the following message: Read 1620 Imported 34 Errors 754 Does 754 refer to the segments which have not been imported? If so, what may be the possible reason? If there are a total of 1620 segments and 34 have been imported and 754 are errors, where have the remaining gone? Hi Chopra, maybe the following might help you get good results with the procedure Enote suggests. Untick the checkbox in the last dialogue before confirming Import, "Use information from bilingual..." (my interface is in Spanish, but it reads something like that). Thanks for your suggestion but the result is not different. I unchecked the last option (Signed off) but it did not make any difference. Chopra, the checkbox I mentioned before is in the dialogue box after the one which has the "Signed-off" option you mention. Do give my suggestion a second try! | |

because an additional 16 segments were imported which unchecking the option mentioned by you.
