Hi experts,

I have a licensed version of TS 2015. I have been given a glossary in txt and tbx formats by the client which I am required to use for his project. When I try to attach that glossary by going to Project Settings > Termbases > Add, I find that the glossaries in sdltb or mdb formats can be used?

Could you please advise me in this respect? Do I need to convert the glossary in sdltb or mdb formats?

Thanks and regards,

Chopra

You can download the GlossaryConverter app in the SDL AppStore and use it for the conversion:

http://www.cerebus.de/glossaryconverter/help/GlossaryConverter.html

Both TXT and TBX are supported as import format.

Edit: I think that you’ll have to paste the text file in an Excel table first.

Thanks so much for the valuable suggestion Nov 14, 2017

It has worked like a magic. I did not need to paste any text. I am indebted and sincerely grateful.

Regards,

Chopra
