What for?

When I am travelling, I still take my laptop with me and Iam sorry to say, but ProZ is not at the top of the list in my smartphone.

ProZ is an indulgence best enjoyed in private.

Were I to take it to the supermarket or down the pub or away on holiday, I fear the constant stream of outraged expletives, snorts of derision and howls of anguish prompted by all those insulting job offers and daft Kudos entries would see me out on my ear in minutes with a lifetime ban, if not a one-way ticket to the loony bin.

I don't want to sound prejudiced, but I prefer my desktop computer Jul 11, 2016

Haven't tried the app, but my smart phone is just too smart for me and I don't want to give it any more ideas.

I need a large screen for anything with as much content as Proz.com, so that means at least my laptop, preferably my desktop computer, good chair and the paraphanalia I have accumulated at home.

But every self-respecting website has at least one app these days, so of course, keep up the good work!

Not much good to me on Android Jul 11, 2016

I'm waiting for the iOS version to come out, although I probably wouldn't use it all that much anyway, except in emergencies or something. I have several dictionary apps (LEO, dict.cc and so on), but still use the Web sites and almost never use the apps. They're more of a backup option, really, and it would be likewise with the ProZ app.

Another app Jul 11, 2016

I barely remembered that Proz has a mobile app. Maybe it's useful for those who frequently check for jobs and/or want to add up Kudoz points.

By the way, if I were the owner, I would start thinking of rebranding the portal. The “z” ending on words is a telltale sign of teenageish talk and it is, sad to say, a very outdated way of differentiating a company, an app, a portal, etc. from the competition.

Now one of those songs by Kidz Bop (yes, it is a real thing! Check it out: http://kidzbop.com/) is stuck in my head.

See what I mean?

Because

(1) I do not rely on Proz to get work so I don't have to slavishly access this site all the time.
(2) When I am away from the computers, this means that I am not working and so I have even less reason to access Proz even its quick polls.

I have given my mobile No. to a few valued customers so that they can contact me if they are in a hurry. The rest can lump it and wait until I get back to the computers.

As I have mentioned before in previous polls, Proz has almost zero relevance and significance to the translation industry here in Japan.

What "app"ens? Jul 11, 2016

Why should I use and App that doesn't work for everyone, only for Android.

Some agencies use apps like that for Windows and I only used Windows Devices for work (phone and Laptop).
Furthermore...if the blue "bird" have people with high suspicious feedbacks and Cv's...and I saw these days a kid being featured as "translator of the day" and when I saw his CV he haven't done nothing...just like that "trainer" for Mobile apps.

My works and jobs don't come to from Proz but by other sources...

And Kudoz points are for what?

Do you care about samples (published or links) on profiles?

If you don't, you should so.

So What "app"ens?

"Double what else?"

I love coffee!
