There is no aff file Mar 15, 2014

Check the encoding declaration in the aff file. If it's
SET microsoft-cp-1251
change it to
SET cp-1251

The issue in that case is that the dictionary downloaded by OmegaT contains no aff file, only a dic one.

Hi esperantisto, thanks for the tip but how do I do that? Is it from properties? Thanks in advance!

The aff file is there Mar 19, 2014

Didier Briel wrote:

It seems the Bulgarian dictionary from the various mirrors is not complete. If you look at what is downloaded, you will see that there is a bg_BG.dic, but no corresponding bg_BG.aff. Of course, this cannot work. If you know a working Open/LibreOffice (.oxt) extension with the Bulgarian dictionary, download it, rename it to .zip, extract the .dic and .aff from it, and copy the files to the folder mentioned in Options > Spell Checking.

My mistake, I was not looking at the right place. The aff file is there.

Hi esperantisto, thanks for the tip but how do I do that? Is it from properties? Thanks in advance!

Open the .aff file with a text editor (e.g., Notepad) and make the change there.

I just tried on bg_BG.aff, and it works fine after the change.
