Connecting Outlook to Gmail Jul 14, 2013

Please follow these steps to connect Outlook to Gmail:

1. Log in your Gmail account

Select settings then select Forward and Pop/Imap in order to enable either "Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded) or (Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on) then Enable Imap and Save Change.

2. Start your Ms Outlook
Select Tools/Account Settings/Email Accounts/Email/Add a new e-mail account: Pop3, then click Next.

Fill in your details:
- Your Name:
- Email Address:
- Account Type: Pop3
- Incoming Mail Server: pop.gmail.com
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
- Username:
- Password:

Select More Setting

Select Outgoing Server/My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication then select Use the same settings as my incoming server.

Select Advanced:

Incoming server (Pop3): 995 and select This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)

Outgoing server (SMTP): 587 and This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
Click Ok and Finish

Click Send/Receive to verify if it works
