Time for Bank Wire to Arrive UK-> US

Hi everyone,

From past experience, I know it takes several days for money wired internationally to be received. If the agency (UK based) said they wired the money on last Friday when might I expect to receive it in my US account? Both my account and the account the agency uses are major banks.

Today will have been 5 working days. I plan on contacting them on Monday asking where my money is again. I just don't want to jump the gun if it generally takes longer than 5 busi... See more

It is less than 700 pounds so the money should not be subject to clearance procedures in place for money laundering. My past wire experience has been sending money to and from accounts in my name. This is the first time that it is an outside party sending money to my account and I don't know what I should expect.

5-7 days depending on bank holidays, etc.
Maybe they entered a wrong digit somewhere or entered the wrong account holder - your last name instead of the company name for instance...

It also depends on exact time when they paid Oct 20, 2012

the money. Some banks process all payments done by noon on the same day and the afternoon payments on the next day.

Hi,
I sent myself a wire from Poland to Canada last Friday and got it on Monday - but I picked the "rush" option which was supposed to be "same day". Otherwise, the regular option was to be 2-3 business days, so I would assume it would arrive withing 5 business days.
Every time I send the wire Canada-Poland it takes up to 3 business days.

Thanks for all of your replies. I'll wait one more day and if I don't receive my money, I will contact the agency again.
