With the passing days of the year 2011, 2012 is towards its way of knocking the door of a whole new year. So setting up your New Year resolutions is an absolute must for now.

Have you already sketched one or still trying to outline such? In case if you are not even have found time to cut your mess and go for fixing those then I would rather suggest it is your high time to start now.

Here I am starting the discussion just to share my thoughts with every one of you. Hope to receive a lot of ideas which I think I can include within my list of resolution.

As of now I am still into hesitation with my list because I am into the process of gearing up myself for diving into a sea of more and more problems. With the all positive results for my clients I am with an intention of producing all goods for them.

Hope to be the best buddy for my customers.

Now lets see what you have carved for your New Year.

with NY resolutions when I left primary school. What's special about the beginning of a new year. I make resolutions (and regularly break them) as I get up every morning.

1) Read some good books and newspapers in your source language
2) Listen to native speakers of English (BBC etc.)

Fully agree. I don't make any either!

Another thread Dec 5, 2011

A thread on Goals for 2012 was opened last Friday:

Although, to be fair, goals are not exactly the same as resolutions

Resolutions are a must for a NEW YEAR Dec 5, 2011

Well David

Thanks for your precious comment.

About resolution I would rather say that resolutions are made to be broken but at the end of the day somewhere in your mind it will etch you that you failed in keeping those. May be not on the same day but some day before or after you will surely feel that if you have kept yourself glued to the resolutions then may be you have not faced such a crisis.

Actually I have gone with this kind of problems many times and for such reasons now I try to make one for me so that for the rest of year if I fail to keep the resolution within a time I try to do it may be some other time but for sure within the same year.

Would love to see your view regarding this. Hope to get it soon.

My resolution Dec 5, 2011

To live on with my personal philosophy: Never be average enough to fit into any category and therefore never to be able to tick any boxes.

Exactly. I think begging for resolutions is a bit childish, and it'll backfire on you :-]

You don't "take resolutions", the resolutions take you :-]. The really important decisions tend to visit you, like friend or foe. You just need the patience to wait for them to knock at your door. Of course they'll never be what you expected. And besides, they never take off their shoes when they step in ;-]

Like a poet said, "Getting distracted is a way of concentrating". Similar with decisions, if you forget them, they'll come.

At any rate, there are just too many resolutions floating around to decide in favour of any one in particular:

Being Average sometimes gives you smile Dec 6, 2011

Dear! I really admire your thought but don’t you think that sometimes you have to come down to the average categories just to squeeze out happiness from the average people. Ticking the same questions with the different answers does make you different and at the same time the laugh, the smile the liveliness you receive is incomparable.

For New Year resolutions I think it is just sketching out some plans so as to gear up yourself accordingly. As I told before resolutions are made to be broken but still if you have anything that you want to do or achieve that will prickle you for the rest of the year that you failed to do.

You are absolutely right that distraction can many times lead you towards concentration but distraction can also lead you towards breaking of concentration isn’t it?
