Samuel's background in his screenshot is indeed pink. Samuel, I wonder what color settings you may have on your computer at the moment. | | | opolt Germany Local time: 21:25 English to German + ... Looks pink to me | Nov 22, 2011 |
From my viewpoint / on my screen, your screenshot background looks definitely pink-ish, Samuel, and very different from when I view your profile in either of my browsers (Firefox + a Webkit based browser, on Linux, brand new screen), where the background colour is very light grey (as it should be IMHO). Could this possibly be some kind of colour management problem, e.g. a bug under the Windows display color config dialog? -- Not likely, I know, but ... Curious and curio... Samuel - In that screen shot only the frames of your glasses are pink. Nothing else. They make you look very trendy and creative. You should go to Milan and walk around for a while. No pink here on the western front - still the usual yellow and green. Yes, Samuel's specs look pink in the screenshot he attached, but nothing else. Very stylish - keep them that way, Samuel. Surely the devil in the machine would make the website red, not pink? Perhaps it's only a junior devil - at the moment. Tempting fate, Jenny | |

Tempting fate, Jenny Maybe it's a she-devil from Essex. (British joke. Sorry). seriously though - I can't see any pink using Apple Safari or Firefox. I haven't tried any other browsers. Maybe you're just "seeing red" Samuel.

[Edited at 2011-11-23 08:28 GMT] I really hope they do rethink the colour scheme, or allow us to customize it ourselves, as the current colours just make it look drab. Maybe I should say a prayer?

Ty Kendall wrote: I really hope they do rethink the colour scheme, or allow us to customize it ourselves, as the current colours just make it look drab. It's a graphic design thing. Each of the colours used on this site is a code and refers to a specific function. In that sense the site works extremely well. For such a complex website it is remarkably easy to navigate. So I wouldn't want to mess with the colour functionality. The different colours interact well and help the user to focus on what's important to them. It's just that the whole colour palette looks drab. Even though "drab" is better than "glaring and hard on the eyes" I do hope that at some point, the colour palette may be rethought, perhaps in a range of gentle tones in the blue/green/grey range?
