As announced by Google, the (free of charge) Google Translate API is deprecated, and should stop functioning in December. A new Google Translate API v2 is available as a paid service: http://code.google.com/apis/language/translate/v2/pricing.html

To configure OmegaT with the Google API key, read the corresponding feature request: http://sourceforge.net/support/tracker.php?aid=3426058

One can download the new version following the directions from http://www.omegat.org/en/downloads.html for standard versions.
(i.e. get the "standard" version, not the "latest" version)

Windows users of OmegaT can add their Google Translate license number to an INI file, but all users of OmegaT can also specifify their Google Translate license number when launching OmegaT from the commandline.

Google Translate now costs USD 20.00 per 1 million *characters*, and you can set a maximum number of characters per day in your Google Translate settings (the default is 2 million characters, so all translators would be well advised to alter that, I think). I'm not sure if unused characters are rolled over from month to month.

Samuel

It's update 3, actually Oct 22, 2011

There was a typo in the body of the announce, but the title was correct.

The new standard version is update *3*.

Edit: I see now that your title has been corrected.

Didier
