One of the (few) things I like about Trados is the fact that you can toggle the bottom bar to show how many words/segments/characters you have edited/confirmed/still to translate. In MemoQ only segments are shown. Knowing how many words rather than segments I have left to translate can be very useful, especially since many of the files I deal with have widely varying segment length. Is there any way of toggling this display to show words/characters, or are we stuck with this? Hi Simon, If you click on Project Home / Overview / Reports / Refresh, it tells you how many words you have left to do (in the project, not by individual file). Still not as handy as Trados, but better than running the statistics all the time. Hope this helps, Gail | | | simon tanner Italy Local time: 03:11 Italian to English + ... I didn't know of that function, which like you say is at least better than going through statistics each time, although it unfortunately only lets you look at things by project and not by individual file. Hopefully they'll get round to tweaking this sooner or later... Either way, always nice to learn of features I didn't know about, so thanks again! @simon for the question, @Gail for the answer, it is really useful information, 'cause segment count means not much. Cheers, Rasim | |
