I am not able to print PDF files and would like to know what is happening. Whenever I try to print a PDF file, after the preparation I get a message "Enter Exit File". What is this? All other formats, including scanned pictures, are working OK.
Is there a way to depediefy or (de-PDFy) files before printing them?
My software is: Word 2007, Windows Vista.

Hi Paul, have you checked the document properties?
Go to the tab "Properties" > "Security" and check if it says "Printing: Allowed" or "Printing: Not allowed".

perhaps it's the printer driver
Dec 26, 2010
Normally that should be OK, since all other programs are printing OK, but if above fails, make sure your printer driver in the PDF software is picking up the right printer, or simply reinstall the printer on the software...

ANOTHER POSSIBILITY
Dec 27, 2010
I had the same problem last week.
This PDF file info was:
Properties>Security>Printing 'Allowed'
BUT
Files> Preferences>Options> [marked] Only certified plug-ins
My printer is certified... Any way, I tried to disable this option with no success...
So I imported the PDF file into Microsoft tools>Microsoft Doc Imaging
[you have to enable MS Doc Image Writer in order to print it and run OCR... See more

try saving a copy
Dec 27, 2010
I've had problems printing pdf files in the past (my lap top runs Vista). Try saving a copy of the document to your desktop and then opening and printing it from there.
