Hi, since we are by principle not allergic to travel and international contacts, I thought this would be a good place for talking about dental tourism. Sometimes countries which are not really far away from your own place offer the same service for one third of the price. The question is : where do you find the reliable dentists ? What do you do if your new teeth fall into your morning coffee as soon as you come back home ? Who uses the absolute best materials ? All those questions and others can be debated here. Please resort to PM if you want to give the precise names and addresses of specific vendors. Otherwise talking about countries, prices and technologies is legally safe. ▲ Collapse | | | Host country translator networks | Aug 16, 2010 |

I am working as public ambassador for Korean medical tourism, and having lived in the country for close to 10 years, I can really recommend it. Not the closed destination for people in Europe, but it's worth considering if you feel like taking a look at Asia anyway.

Best regards, Soonthon Lupkitaro You are in Thailand, famous cause his very large dental tourism (not only dental), in BKK there is, for example, a big hospital with 14 dentist surgeries inside the hospital with very high standard (correct me if I am wrong), and you recommend Japan? I am sure they can offer a good quality, bu Japan is a very expensive country, is the dental care cheap there? Sawadee kap | | | Tranquility versus 10.000 $ | Aug 16, 2010 |

This way I have quick access to the same professional by car if I need anything. Sometimes, 10.000 $ can make a decision easy. If you need a big treatment, a diference of 40% between, for example, Germany (where a lot of things are for free!!) and Thailand, it makes a decision easier. And more if you see the difference in equipment ultramodern, and dentist with study in USA and other countries, versus the very often old clinics in Germany... You can spend the European Winter on the beach and at the same time repair your "leaks" and save a lot of money. Saludos

I assume they all speak English, as otherwise why would they be on a site aimed at expatriates living here? Just one thing - don't ever try to seek treatment at a state-owned hospital. You may need to wait months, even years, for treatment... ▲ Collapse

Thank you all, personnally I go to the Baltics now. For any country, I found that the services are always first class if it is a medium sized clinic, and the only "danger" is them trying to sell you services that you don't really need. But there is no real danger in terms of wrong treatment. And while I am here... stop smoking if you can... or don't begin ! That will make treatment soooo much better.
